Product overview
Calcium formate is a calcium salt and belongs to the class of inorganic compounds.
Its chemical formula is C2H2CaO4.
It is usually white crystalline powder.
It is soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol.
It is an industrial compound and a rapid setting and early strength accelerator for concrete or mortar.
It can be used in the construction industry, as a concrete curing accelerator, in the production of feed mixtures, silage and in tanneries.
Properties
| Physical State | White Crystalline Powder |
|---|---|
| Solubility | Solubility in water |
| Insolubility | Insoluble in alcohol |
| Alkalinity | Alkalescence |
| Early strength agent | Speed up the hardening speed of cement, improve early strength, and avoid the setting speed is too slow in winter construction or low temperature and humidity. |
| Compatibility | It is compatible with other auxiliaries, and can be mixed evenly with cement, sand and other auxiliaries in a certain proportion. |
Applications
Calcium formate is a new type of early strength material, which can effectively accelerate the hydration of tricalcium silicate C3S in cement and increase the early strength of concrete, but it will not cause corrosion to steel bars and other environmental pollution. Calcium formate can reduce the formation of porosity in concrete, and improve the compactness and impermeability of concrete.
It is suitable for the production and construction of emergency concrete works and precast concrete components.
Calcium formate can reduce the surface tension of.
