Product overview
Carboxylic Butadiene Styrene Latex (XBSL), also known as Carboxylated Styrene-Butadiene Latex or Carboxylated SBR Latex, is a synthetic polymer emulsion produced from butadiene, styrene, and carboxylic acid monomers.
It provides a combination of adhesion, flexibility, film formation, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for paper coating, carpet backing, textile coating, adhesives, nonwoven fabrics, sealants, and flexible coatings.
Carboxyl styrene butadiene latex is a copolymer formed by lotion polymerization of butadiene, styrene, a small amount of carboxylic acid and other additives.
Applications
1. Paper Coating Binder
Carboxylic butadiene styrene latex is a widely used binder in paper and paperboard coating formulations, offering excellent pigment binding, smoothness, and gloss. It enhances printability, surface strength, and ink holdout, ensuring premium results in coated paper and packaging grades.
2. Carpet Backing and Textile Coating
In the textile industry, XBSL latex serves as a binder and coating polymer for carpet backing, providing superior flexibility, abrasion resistance, and dimensional stability.
Packaging
25 kg woven bags, 500 kg jumbo bags, or custom packaging upon request. Bulk shipments and OEM services are available for industrial customers.
