Applications
1）Manufacture of chemicals: Sodium hydroxide is one of the important raw materials for the production of polycarbonates, superabsorbent polymers, zeolites, epoxy resins, sodium phosphate, sodium sulfite and a large number of sodium salts.
2) Papermaking: Process used to cook and bleach paper sheets due to its alkaline properties.
Food industry: It can be used as a detergent for containers such as empty bottles and cans, as well as decolorizers and deodorizers; starch processing; preparation of carboxymethyl cellulose; manufacturing of sodium glutamate.
