Colorless, transparent, oily liquid with a pungent odor.
It is not easily soluble in water, miscible with hot water, and easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.
It is easy to polymerize.
If necessary, methanol or fatty alcohol polyethylene glycol ether type non-ionic surfactant can be added as a stabilizer.
Since the pure product is not easy to store, the product is often in the form of a 25% aqueous solution.

Applications
Glutaraldehyde can effectively kill a variety of microorganisms, so it can be used as a sterilization agent, suitable for disinfection and sterilization of medical equipment and humidity and heat resistant precision instruments, food, livestock enclosures, environmental health, oil mining, cooling water treatment and other sterilization treatment.
Glutaraldehyde is a tanning agent, which can make the product plump and soft, and has the properties of heat resistance, sweat resistance, soap resistance, etc.
