Trisodium Phosphate is Colorless to white needle crystal or crystalline powder, anhydrated or containing 1~12 molecules of crystal water, odorless.
The melting temperature of dodecahydrate is 73.4°C, and the relative density is D2911 62.
When heated to 55 ~ 65℃, decahydrate is formed, when heated to 60 ~ 100℃, hexahydrate is formed, when heated to 100℃ or above, and when heated to 212℃ or above, it becomes anhydrous.
Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
Applications
In the chemical industry, utilized as a water softener, boiler scale inhibitor, and detergent.
In the textile printing and dyeing industry, the fixing agent when used in printing and dyeing, fabric mercerizing enhancer, makes line brittle resistance agent.
