EHT is a very effective UVB oil-soluble UV absorber in the form of a yellowish crystalline powder.

Absorbs UV light at very low concentrations.

Has a high absorbance of over 1,500 at 314 nm.

Its complete insolubility in water further enhances this property.

Applications

In the cosmetics industry, because EHT is insoluble in water and has a good affinity with the keratin of the skin, it has excellent waterproof effect in sunscreen care products. It can be used in cosmetic products such as BB cream, liquid foundation, lip gloss, primer and blush.
