Sulphadoxine is a sulfonamide drug. For those allergic to penicillin G and erythromycin, it can treat respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, soft tissue infections, tonsillitis, bacillary dysentery, etc. In addition, it is also effective against malaria, tuberculosis and leprosy.

Sulfonamide has strong antibacterial activity against hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus, Shigella, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella, etc. In addition, cyclosulfanilamide also has anti-plasma parasite effect.
