Sodium metasilicate is a kind of inorganic compound, chemical formula is Na2SiO3, white particles or powder, soluble in water, soluble in dilute sodium hydroxide solution, insoluble in ethanol and acid, mainly used for ultra-concentrated washing powder, detergent, metal cleaning agent, food industry cleaning agent, also used in paper bleaching, cotton yarn cooking, porcelain mud dispersion, etc.
Applications
1. In the washing industry, it is mainly used for ultra-concentrated washing powder, washing liquid, washing cream, dry cleaning agent, fiber whitening agent, fabric bleach agent, etc., and also widely used as metal surface cleaning agent, beer bottle, floating product dissolving agent, etc. When completely dissolved, it can be used as a metal rust inhibitor, scale cleaner, electrical parts cleaner and food industry detergent.
2. In ceramic industry, adding sodium metasilicate pentahydrate to ceramic slurry can increase the surface negative charge of inorganic clay.
